About me

I am Inga and I am a painter from the Faroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are 18 islands in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, Northwest of Scotland and halfway between Iceland and Norway. To learn more about the Faroe Islands see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faroe_Islands.

I use acrylic pens for fine lines and small details.

I have been painting on and of for about 14 years. I use acrylic paint and acrylic pens on cotton and linen canvas.

I am lucky to be surrounded by a beautiful and stunning nature from where I get a lot of inspiration. I am interested in the combination of colors and shapes. As you can see in my paintings, I use a lot of different colors and often bright colors. I like to put many different shapes together. I get inspired by many things in the nature that surrounds me. I am fascinated by mountains, hills, trees, houses, buildings, the sea, the sky etc.

My latest exhibition took place in Smiðjan í Lítluvík in Torshavn and below you can watch some of the paintings.
